Uva Ursi or Arctostaphylos is a small, evergreen shrub with orange berries widely distributed across circumboreal regions of the subarctic Northern Hemisphere.

  • Uva Ursi helps to reduce bacteria in the urine and also increase urine flow. It also helps to reduce swelling and pressure on and in the bladder.

  • Uva ursi has also been used topically (applied to the surface of the skin) because it chemically produces hydroquinone, which is a substance used in skin-lightening creams. Hydroquinone is prescribed for the treatment of dark skin patches that develop due to skin damage.

DOSAGE

For Adults: Take two capsules two times per day or otherwise directed by your healthcare practitioner. In some circumstances, take two capsules three times per day for additional support.

For Children 12 and under: Take one capsule two times per day or otherwise directed by your healthcare practitioner. In some circumstances, take one capsule three times per day for additional support.

For Topical use: Empty three to six capsules into 2 to 4oz of lotion or salve you like (mixing very well) and rub the mix on desired skin damage three to four times a day.
